Isn’t it the case, that the couples that claim to be the most uncomfortable in front of the camera, and the least photogenic, turn out to be some of the best couples to work with? Such is the case with Shannon and Chris. These two came into this session as many couples do — camera shy, a bit apprehensive and completely unsure what to expect from the shoot. A little pep-talk and a few dad-jokes later, and you’d think this couple were a few models shooting for the cover of Life Magazine!

The Aquatorium at Marquette Beach is always a beautiful spot to start a session. The crashing waves and sprawling view of the Indiana Dunes Lakeshore from the upper story of the old time bath house is enough on it’s own to put anyone’s mind at ease.

One of my favorite features of the Indiana Dunes (aside from this beautiful couple), is the rolling hills of beach grasses. Such a peaceful space to enjoy a beautiful evening on the water.

The warm setting sun on at the Dunes never disappoints…

Ok, guys, time to practice your dance for the big day….Ready…Set…Go.  🙂

May we never be too grown-up to play in the leaves. <3

As beautiful as this even looked, the water in Lake Michigan was COLD. Thanks for putting up with my shenanigans, Shannon and Chris!!

Thanks again for allowing me to share this special time with you both! Can’t wait for your big day, Shannon and Chris!!
