Chicago romance, sprinkles cupcakes and a whole lot of love.
Not only are engagement sessions an awesome way to get some great photos of you two as a couple, but they are a perfect opportunity to break the ice with your photographer as well! This is the first chance that your photographer will have to get to know you two intimately as a couple, and vise versa! Your comfort in front of the camera is one of the most important factors to creating a great photo, so what a better way to get to know each other than a fun evening out for an engagement session! Then, by the time the big day rolls around, you two and your photographer can hit it off like ol’ chums that have known each other for years! 🙂
Dayanna and Simon are big city-goers. While they currently live in Northwest Indiana, they try and make it out to Chicago just about every free moment that they get. It would only make sense that this is exactly the place we would plan on shooting their engagement session! I had an absolute blast getting to know this couple. They were full of laughs, love and fun. I think you’ll see just that in some of their highlights below.
For our next stop, we ventured over to one of their top guilty pleasures — Sprinkles Cupcakes!! This was one location that I wasn’t going to argue about, as I happen to be a HUGE sucker for a good cupcake. Knowing that Sprinkles is in fact their caterer for their wedding cupcakes, I’m now even MORE excited for their big day! 😉
Last but surely not least, a trip to Chicago wouldn’t be complete without swinging into one of the gorgeous hotels on Michigan for a few shots to end the evening.
