If I can find a way to make my client’s life a little easier, that makes me a happy man. With AlbumDraft, we have managed to do just that.
For many photographers, album design is the elephant in the room. Without the proper tools to help you streamline the process, designing an album and delivering the proofs for your client’s feedback can prove to be a very cumbersome process. Thankfully, with the abundance of album design and proofing programs available these days, albums can once again be something we look forward to.
For me, about 90% of my clients are choosing to include premium albums into their wedding packages. With such a demand on albums, I am always searching for new ways to help make my life, and the life of my clients, a little bit easier. When an album design is completed, the digital proofs are then sent to the client for their review. The client is then able to request any changes that they may desire and send back to me for revisions. As you can imagine, without a good system in place, this process can become a bit confusing. Emailing album spreads and trying to point out which pictures the clients wanted to change with a list of requests simply doesn’t cut the mustard. This method has proven in the past to be a daunting task for both the client and myself.
Convinced that there had to be a better way, I stumbled upon AlbumDraft.com. Album Draft is an online album proofing solution that cuts out all of the guesswork. With Album Draft, I am able to upload all of the digital proofs to a personalized online album and then generate a link to send to my client. The client is then able to view the album proofs directly from the website. Album Draft even uses the spreads to create a digital online album, allowing the client to flip through the pages as if it were their finished product. This feature is wonderful, as it gives the album a very true-to-life feel, just as if you’re looking at it in person. What’s even better is that if the client wants to make a change to any part of the spreads, they can click directly on the album pages, create a new bullet point and enter their comments. Once the comments are made, proofs can be revised, uploaded for a second review and approved by the client!
Now that I’m done rambling, here’s a preview of how the service works! This particular album gallery has been set up as a sample, so unfortunately the comments are disabled. None the less, this gives you a great idea of how you are able to present your finished albums!
Enjoy!
