Since 1995, Denna & Jim Fyock have been making weddings everything the happy couple could envision and more. When Aberdeen Manor first opened, the goal was not only to be the perfect venue for weddings and receptions, but they also wanted clients to feel pampered, appreciated and accommodated in every way. Most of all, they wanted to take as much stress out of the wedding planning process as possible.

Aberdeen Manor has a beautiful garden just a few quick steps from the ballroom. Elegant details and a variety of centerpieces and decor are available. The mantra of Aberdeen Manor staff is to always ask themselves, “How can we be the best at what we do?”

Over the nearly 20 years Aberdeen Manor has been in business, this mantra has shaped Aberdeen Manor into a leading all-inclusive wedding venue. They have added 24/7 webcams, tasting parties for upcoming couples, cake plateaus, card boxes, a twinkling serpentine head table and a bridal shop. A non-denominational chapel was added to the venue to add charm and options for the bride and groom. While Aberdeen Manor has grown bigger and better, it still remains one of the only venues in northwest Indiana where you have the exclusive use of the entire property for your wedding. At Aberdeen Manor, your wedding is too important to share with any other event. Aberdeen Manor is committed to quality and service, ensuring it will continue to be the benchmark for weddings across the region for many years to come.

The Building and Grounds

Regardless of the size of your event, you’ll have exclusive use of the building and grounds. There is an intimate, secluded formal garden which serves as the perfect backdrop for your ceremony and for photos.

The most recent addition to Aberdeen Manor is a beautiful ‘jewel box’ chapel. It is an authentic replica of an 1800’s country church, and even has a steeple with a bell for the newlywed couple to ring as they leave the ceremony together as husband and wife.

The chapel is warm and inviting with stained glass windows in warm shades of burgundy, toast, sage green, purples, and pinks. The inviting charm of the chapel is enhanced by the old oak woodwork and seating.

On the practical side, there is a bride’s room, coat room, restrooms, a meeting room available for rehearsal dinners, and showers in the ADA-compliant accessible lower level.

The Staff

Their house DJ, Trans Audio, is one of my favorites.

Aberdeen Manor has some of the best event staff I have encountered. They are personable, experienced, professional and genuinely care to make sure your special day is as stress-free as possible.

In addition to providing great venue services, they also offer on-site coordination of your event from beginning to end and have extensive experience in helping a couple plan their special day from a long distance away. They offer knowledgeable recommendations for all wedding services, and even offer cake plateaus, card boxes and other items available at no additional charge.

Aberdeen Manor has a delicious customizable menu that is prepared by an on-site kitchen staff that strives for perfection, and continually creates and serves delicious food.

Located in the northern region of Indiana, just southwest of Valparaiso, Indiana the beauty of this venue is second to none. Photography Tips

If your wedding is being held anywhere between the spring, summer and fall, Aberdeen Manor’s on-site garden provides a beautiful option for your pre or post ceremony photos. If your schedule allows time for off-site travel, a beautiful fountain and paved bridge sit only a few blocks from Aberdeen Manor’s doorstep.

The elegant decor of Aberdeen Manor’s interior provides a great setting for photos as well — the perfect option for a few romantic, late-night couples photos.

In order to maintain a comfortable mood, Aberdeen Manor is often lit with very soft, low lighting. In order to capture this mood and make the most out of your photos in this type of space, make sure your photographer is proficient in their use of off-camera lighting.
