Two minutes into our initial consultation after first meeting Priscilla and Mike, I knew that we were going to be a great fit for each other.  These two are one of the sweetest couples I’ve met — very welcoming, polite, soft spoken and genuine people.  When it came time to start discussing their engagement session, one of the very first things that came up  was the possibility of a date night theme.  This was something that seemed to fit them to a T!  The gears immediately started turning and I started dreaming up ideas of how this could play out.

The first thing that came to mind was wine, desserts and candles (ok…lets be real….mostly candles).  I absolutely adore anything to do with candles, as the atmosphere and mood that they create is incredibly soft and romantic.  Add a few candles to any scene and you have instant romance.  From there, all we needed to find was our perfect location.  We knew that we wanted something very elegant and classy, and somewhere that would provide a great atmosphere for the photos.  One top of that, some amazing food, drinks and dessert would be a bonus!  I knew that there would only be a few places in the area that would satisfy all items on our checklist and Gamba Ristorante was number one on our list.  After making a quick call to another of our future brides-to-be for later this year, Angela Gamba, she was able to pull some strings and got us clearance to shoot a quick session at their amazing restaurant!  Actually, I owe a big thanks to all three of the Gamba sisters, Angela, Michelle and Krystle, for making this all happen!  You gals are the best!!

With that being said…on to the big date!!

We’ve arrived at Gamba Ristorante and I must say, these two were lookin’ mighty sharp!  🙂

Mike is quite the modern gentleman.  Who says chivalry is dead?

These two were nothing but smiles all night.  Its amazing to see two people so connected to each other such as Priscilla and Mike.

Enough with the mushy!  Lets order some dessert!

This will tell you how in tune Priscilla and Mike are…with all of the delicious options on Gamba Ristorante’s menu (tiramisu being one of my personal favorites at Gamba), they both locked eyes on the apple streusel and wound up both ordering the same thing.  Gotta love it.

Bon appetit!

I think they made an awesome choice.  Everything at Gamba is delectable…you really can’t go wrong.

“Hey!  Your’s looks better than mine!  Better make sure….”

Gamba Ristorante has a beautiful side room called the wine room, housing some of the finest wines you can find.  Great little spot to sneak away…

Talk about pressure moving lights around in here!  I don’t think I’ve ever moved so slow in my life.   😉

After finishing a few libations and some sweet treats, we decided to sneak a few more on our way out of the building.

Thanks again, Priscilla and Mike, for allowing me to sneak away on a date with you two!  Had a blast working with you both and I can’t wait for your big day at The Allure!!
